DESCRIPTION:What is Small Business Saturday?\n\nSmall Business Saturday is an annual November event celebrating small local businesses\, advocating a "Shop Small" reminder to encourage consumers to shop local businesses.\n\nThe first-ever Small Business Saturday took place on November 27\, 2010. It encouraged people across the country to support small\, local business.  The year 2015 was one for the books.  Shoppers supported their neighborhood businesses like never before.  A total of 95 million people went out to shop at small businesses.\n\n\n\nSmall Businesses are encouraged to participate! \n\nWe're encouraging local businesses to participate in Small Business Saturday and spread the word to customers and other local businesses.  This campaign is an excellent way to remind our community about the advantages of supporting our local small businesses and celebrating everything they do to support Dana Point!
