About Alohana Acai Bowls & Coffee:

Founded by Robert O'Quinn and Pete McAfee, we bring you the taste of Aloha infused with the spirit of action sports and outdoor living... fresh and healthy since 2016! For over two decades, Pete and Robert have been immersed in the action sports industry, growing up with a passion for surfing, snowboarding, cycling, and embracing the outdoor lifestyle. Their journey began with a realization: amidst the vibrant energy of trade shows dedicated to these industries, the food options were limited to hot dogs, burgers, and pizza. Thus, the seed of providing a healthy alternative was planted.

In August 2015, our journey took shape with the purchase of our first trailer. From there, a transformative week at Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City, UT set the stage for what was to come. The overwhelming response fueled our dedication to crafting the perfect Acai Bowl, focusing on wholesome, superfood ingredients. The result? The Alohana Acai Bowl — a harmonious blend of whole foods and incredible taste.

While Robert spearheads our Orange County presence, establishing our flagship brick and mortar store in San Clemente, Pete ensures that San Diego County is well-covered for catering, events, and more. Our mission is clear: to spread the joy of our product throughout Orange and San Diego Counties, popping up at farmers markets, races, street fairs, and corporate events. Once you taste it, you'll understand the hype… Yeeew!

What sets us apart? We take pride in our partnerships, particularly with Gelato Love, our local ally in formulating new Acai bases. With our low sugar and protein Acai bases, exclusive to us, we've redefined the standard. Originating as a solution for the Marines at Camp Pendleton, our protein base has since become a favorite across all our locations.

Fast forward to 2024, and we're still a family-run business with a passion for growth. Expanding to four trucks and six locations, we now serve Camp Pendleton and events across Orange and San Diego Counties. But that's not all — we've enlisted the expertise of Ex-Action Sports veteran Chad Crites to lead our charge into Riverside County, unlocking new opportunities and territories.
