Sharks After Dark: Bioluminescence Night
Take a deep dive and explore the Ocean Institute's local sharks and their surrounding environments at Sharks After Dark! Discover the ocean’s underwater world with the Ocean Institute's fun, interactive spaces, and activities that indulge curiosity.
Using a blacklight, discover more about bio-fluorescence and the Ocean Institute's animals. Activities include:
- Getting your hands wet in a tide pool touch tank!
- Exploring and learning about local species of sharks at the Horn Shark exhibit.
- Identifying shark jaws by different characteristics and teeth.
- Learning about the internal and external anatomy of sharks.
- Creating your own glow-in-the-dark craft!
For those who just want to sit back and relax, the Ocean Institute will have fun and educational shark movies playing all evening long!
For adults, beer and wine will be available for purchase.
