Wealth Planning Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Paraplanner , Client service advisor or advanced planning strategist with a strong background in working with HNW planning, client communications and operational efficiency. This in-person role is ideal for a technically skilled, detail-oriented, client-focused professional passionate about delivering exceptional service. You’ll serve as a trusted second-in-command to the founder with deep client relationship support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HNW clients, ensuring a high-touch, empathetic approach to relationship management, often with an older clientele. Concierge quality work as we are a boutique firm.
  • Proficiency in planning software for retirement longevity and tax planning
  • Collaborate with the advisor on meeting preparation, follow-up, and casework, ensuring seamless experiences.
  • Assist in investment portfolio research for tax efficiencies for HNW clients
  • Drive business development efforts by cultivating relationships with CPAs, attorneys, and senior-focused organizations to expand referral networks.
  • Provide operational support, including scheduling, paperwork completion, and compliance adherence.
  • Leverage technology, such as our CRM Wealthbox and financial planning software (including RightCapital, Holistiplan, Estate Guru, XYPN, AdvicePay), to maintain accurate records and improve efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field; preferred but not required. CFP® preferred, or other designations such as: AIF®, CAP®, CKA®, CP, WA®, RMA®

Experience

  • At least 5 years experience in client planning design work
  • Advanced planning knowledge in tax, estate, investment, and retirement planning
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics in a client-friendly way
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; capable of handling multiple cases simultaneously
  • Has worked in an RIA model (not broker-dealer sales focused)
  • Familiar with working alongside CFA or investment committee structure

Skills

  • Excellent schedule coordination (especially for founder-advisor)
  • High EQ and experience with concierge-level service, often with seniors
  • Skilled in professional client correspondence, phone communication, and follow-up
  • Ability to operate without constant supervision — receive “flowing work” virtually
  • Prior experience with retiree-specific planning and care: Social Security, Medicare, Long-term care transitions, Alzheimer’s care navigation, Income distribution planning, Family/next-gen coordination
  • Proficiency in financial planning software: Wealthbox CRM, RightCapital (financial planning), Holistiplan (tax planning)
  • Knowledge of insurance and life product placement via general agencies
  • Aptitude for business development and relationship management.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to adapt to workflow disruptions based on priority needs. Skilled in communication with a warm and patient approach to clients' needs.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
