John Miller joined Providence Mission Hospital as Chief Philanthropy Officer in April 2018. As President of Providence Mission Hospital Foundation and as a member of Mission’s executive leadership team, John works with a 37-member board of community leaders to raise, invest and disburse philanthropic funds in support of the hospital’s efforts to expand services and improve patient care throughout south Orange County.
John earned a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. Among their community involvements, John and his wife, Dr. Charlene Underhill Miller, have been actively involved providing mental health services to underserved children and youth, providing foster care to children, and college-based support services to emancipated foster youth.
