Assistant Manager

Penelope Pots in Dana Point, CA is looking for one stellar Manager to join our strong team and manager our two locations. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged, and has boutique store management experience. This is a full time position.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of physical store location.
  • Experience in a boutique or specialty sales experience.
  • Strong ability to sell
  • Supervise associate's and other staff to ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Meeting store sales goals, prepare reports, suggest ways increase sales and provide best possible customer service to meet sales goals.
  • Collaborate with management to create and implement sales projects.
  • Responsible for training and development of new employees.
  • Working peak hours, opening and closing, weekends and some holidays. 
  • Create and manage staff scheduling, as well as coverage.
  • Maintain high standards for store appearance and displays, per merchandising manual standards. 
  • Represent the store in a positive light and exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Embody the values of the company and put customers first.
  • Assist in employee documentation, performance reviews and any other potential employee related documentation.
  • Maintain inventory by checking merchandise to determine inventory levels; anticipating customer demand.

 

Compensation:

  • Base Hourly rate of $18-$22/hr. Tips & Commission earned on top of hourly pay. Average employees make an additional $5/hour on top of their hourly rate.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in retail management.
  • Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused store.
  • Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
